don't get it Jim, unless you're trying to say I'm
coo-coo for voting my conscience. I rather say
that people voting with the monied interests are
coo-coo, it's not me voting for the wrong person,
it's them. If all voted like me, we'd be out of
Iraq and with the freed up billions be working on
things at home. At any rate, if that's the case,
then my question would be this: In
that there have been ~1000 US military deaths
(most since bush declared the war "won"), 7900
Iraqi soldier deaths, and between 10,000 and
20,000 innocent civilian deaths in the first 18
months of the war...would you say the deaths will
stop when Kerry is pushing the SAME occupation
that Bush is pushing? Why is a dead baby
killed by Kerry as commander in chief and
different than a dead baby killed by Bush as
commander in chief? (no wishy wash answers
now) My candidate gets my vote
largely because as the Council on Foreign
Relations agrees, pulling the contracts, puppet
government, and turning over new government
installation to the UN is the way to go. That's a
totally different situation as the Iraqi people
will be getting control of their country. They
will distance themselves from the resistance and
the violence will greatly subside.

| | And
if sall you who voted for Gore had voted for Nader
as I did in 2000, we wouldn't be in this mess
either. But where does discussing the past leave
us, some kinda justification fior voting against
my consience? Besides, Gore DID win in 2000.
And you haven't answered my
questions from above although I answered yours
quite directly and promptly, (your failure to
answer might be an answer in itself as viewed by
some).

The whole god-dam country needs to
find out what's going on, and vote their
concscience, that's the onkly way out. Otherwise,
it's what we see is what we get.
Don't blame me if we're in war for
the next 4 years, I voted for the one who will
pull us out, contracts and all. Blame the 95% who
are voting for the PRO_WAR camps. Theyt are
fucking pro war candidates, and that's all there
is to it. No, I'm not voting pro-war, that's
bad. |

This radio host is as sure as stupid
as the peoples that got in the air, and even more.
The way he keeps on saying "Kerny" says a lot
about his lack of professionalism. Trash radio by
a trash interviewers. If only he got some informed
guests instead of selecting ignorants. Any one can
do what he did. Recent poll in the
News today: Bush is in the lead. Yeah, folks, it
may looks like we're heading for another 4 years
of Mass Stupidity. You'll get a kick watching that
big number (the cost of the war) growing up in
New-York for another 4 years. Who said there was
no fun to be had in this marvelous world ? And
since Nader voters won't change their minds, we'll
have a ball...Wheepee... Meanwhile,
back in lame Canada... |

my comment above that one was referring to THIS
election cycle, "If all voted like me, we'd be out

because of the topic of the three paragraphs it
appears in).

| | Hi
Mij, nice to see ya skulking around in here((:
I didn't know the Times square sign
caused such a stink, I saw it the other day. It
looks like they changed the bomb to a dove.
NYC's anti-war
billboard in court Some advertisements are
too political for Times Square
A dispute over a proposed anti-war billboard
that could be displayed over Times Square in New
York up until Election Day in November has landed
in a federal court. Measuring
21m by 13m, the billboard was to show a stylised
bomb and fuse, decorated in stars and stripes,
with the message: "Democracy is best taught by
example, not by war." more... http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/D3F6870F-3E1A-4519-BC2D-857B1AE40495.htm
Clear Channel rejected the original
design:
I bet many will
love the new one What to do with $150 extra
billion dollars. I saw an article on the new one,
but I don't remember where.
Ahhh...here it is:
billboard in Times Sqaure counts the
cost of the Iraq war starting at $134.5B and
increases at a rate of $177M per day, $7.4M per
hour and $122,820 per minute. By
Anders Krusberg, AP http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-08-26-iraq-war-clock_x.htm
Here's a sight that attempts to put
this number into perspective: http://www.costofwar.com/
"Every gun that is made,
every warship launched, every rocket fired,
signifies in the final sense a theft from those
who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and
are not clothed." President
Dwight D. Eisenhower April 16, 1953

| | You're
right but incoming polls are quite a bit alarming,
don't you agree ? And this battle of words between
supporters of Nader and Kerry is only benefiting
Bush, but that you already know. (if Nader had a
reasonable chance to win that would be another
ball game though) The ship is
sinking and some wants to play it in a fancy way.
I fear this is no time to be fancy. Run for your
life first, and fix the rest after. |

The Republicans are controlling the
debate here. The news is full of arguments over
whether Kerry should have won three Purple Hearts
or just two. Meanwhile, Bush's
military record remains sealed. Nobody's even
asking if he showed up for his tour in the Texas
Air National Guard or not. At least
we know that Kerry really did command a
gunboat in Vietnam. After his tour, he came back
and testified before Congress that the war was
wrong. Who would know that better than a Vietnam
vet? I don't even know that George
W. Bush ever left the United States until after
9/11. And I don't know that Ralph Nader has ever
even been to Europe; much less Asia, Africa or
South America. I've learned to vote
for what I know, rather than what I don't know.
