Well, he went and did it. Ralph Nadar
is running for president again. The man who
single-handedly gave Bush the presidency in 2000
is at it again.
He is a good guy,
with a good premise (that both the Republicans and
Democrats are in the pockets of big business), and
most of the time it's good to have third party
candidates.
2 problems: First, he
hasn't done JACK SHIT since the last election. He
squandered all the positive attention he garnered
on important issues, and has been largely
invisible. Second, this election could very
well be as close as the last one, and Ralph's
votes are almost completely unhappy democrats, who
would otherwise vote Democratic. He could
actually be reponsible for 8 years of Bush!!
Don't let it happen! Pass the
word. And vote for the Democrat running against
Bush. |

the "not lesser" evil get in again.
If you really hate Bush, vote for
one who really has a chance of throwing him out.
When there's a fire going on, you bring hoses
instead of buckets of water. Not that I agree 100%
with Democrats but I couldn't stand seeing Bush
for another 4 years. You want another war on

I absolutely hate to agree, but in
ways I do. I would never want to stop third party
candidates from running. I personally dislike both
dems and pubs and if I thought Nader could win,
he'd sure as hell get my vote. He can't though,
and he's filtering anti-Bush votes away from the
dems and at this point in history, there's no way
I can help that happen. If Bush "wins" the
election again.... I'll have to move to Cuba...or
maybe even Canada. I can not..... WILL NOT be
represented by that monkey for four more years.
As much as I like Ralph and
his platform, and I do very much, I don't think
he's what we need for the next four years.
Ideally, Ralph would run as VP with whoever gets
the dem nomination.

This
happens almost every where Mij, almost.
I
deeply understand the feelings of our american
buds. Ralph is OK but if a certain number of
people vote him, Kerry has less chances to kick
off that animal of Bush.
I had the
same problems in Italy for years....
Nevertheless something must change.
It is hard to maintain a bipolar electoral system
with two almost identical candidates.
But I am
pretty sure that Kerry is far less bad than Bush.
How can someone be badder than Bush ?

When we start telling good people not
to run, what kind of a country are we? Don't get
me wrong Ronnie, I see your point and understand
that you want the best outcome for the US and the
world even if it's a lesser evil that produces
it...but...I believe it's a mistake to vote for
the lesser of two evils. I think Al Sharpton was
right when he said "any of the dems in their worst
nightmare would be better than Bush"...but now we
have a TRUE consumer advocate, who is NOT IN
ANYONE's POCKET. I doubt the US is smart enough to
elect him, the dam airheads keep going for the one
with the spiffiest TV commercials, and they get
what they deserve.
Nader himself is
also a Kucinich fan. Then Kucinich backed Edwards
when the was stuck ar 2%. nader is watching the
polls to make sure he is not putting Bush in, and
if says that, you can believe it.
I
can say one thing for sure, if Nader get's in,
this will become a beautiful country the likes of
which we, nor the world, has ever known. We shall
see the awesome power of the US harnessed to
become a catalyst for worldwide change. Nothing
less than that will happen. Please reconsider and
have courage in the face of uncertanity because of
what's at stake.
Besides, I say a
poll last week that said only 34% of REPUBLICANS
like W. He has only the support of the far right
wing, the rest of the republicans do not like
operating by generating trillions of dollars in
debt for their children to pay off, they know it's
bad for business.
Don't forget that
the although the republicans voted down the line
with the money for the medicare scandal, the
majority of the dems voted with the money too....
4 more years? or is this enough??
I
have the exit poll data from 2000. Nader took more
republicans than you may suspect, (I'll see if I
can find the data). NOW, we have a prez who has
ticked off MORE Republicans big time... He may
even take MORE Republican votes than democrats,
how can anyone know, (all Republicans are not
monsters like Bush.
And if by the
grace of God Nader gets into a debate with
asshole, he will tear him to shreds, i've seen
nader confront assholes, there is not a shres left
of them. There is no one who could debate Bush
better than Nader.
God...where
is that link! I had it under my posts for a long
time, it had exit poll data as well as a bush
lover who called in....I'll find it.
Vote for the BEST man, and tell your
frends to do the same...or, keep an eye to the
sky.
Whatever all you guys say
in this thread, I'm just glad you all care and are

candidates off the beaten path. But the stakes
are just too high now. This is a rare case
where each vote does indeed make a difference.
Another Bush term is just too horrible to even
imagine.
I do like Ralph, and he's
been a good guy for years. But he is a single
issue candidate, and it seems he's really just
being an obstinate jerk this time. Does he care so
little for the U.S. and the world that he'll
manufacture Bush's re-election? ? ?
Vote for the one who can win.
