Welcome to the Fall Colors 2005 Page.
It was August 12th this year when I was on the bike, and first noticed Fall in the air, "No, it can't be, it's only August 12th." But the lush green had definitely gone past peak, and there were the litter daisy's and even a little red!
And it was still August!
Sure the day's had been getting shorter for weeks now, but a very dry spell combined with a turn from so darn hot to cool had tricked some of the forest.
The ferns were just plain confused...
And that's how the forest stayed, even after the weather warmed up again, not really summer, but not really Fall...
So, ya might as well keep on riding(:
I had fun with these motion shots this year. Notice there's a small area just to the right of the trail (just above the odometer), that is sharp, while if you look at the gravel just under the handlebars, it's streaked. This point of clarity appears in many motion shots, Here is a link to a few other "motion shots(:
